Split ends occur when the tips of your hair dry out and the hair fiber begins to split. Common causes include mechanical stress like excessive brushing, friction from hair ties or clothing, and external factors like heat from blow-drying or straightening, UV rays, or chemical treatments.

When the protective cuticle layer is damaged, hair loses moisture and elasticity. The result? Brittle ends that split and can continue to fray further up the strand.

To prevent split ends, make sure to moisturize regularly, use heat protection, and trim your ends consistently. Gentle shampoos and nourishing hair masks will help keep your hair healthy and smooth!
